Quote follow-up for construction companies

Many quotes in construction go unanswered. As your agency, Bautique follows up on every reported quote until an award decision is made and tells you whether you won or lost, and why.

Why following up wins contracts

A site management team often compares several quotes per trade while the project moves on. Anyone who disappears after submitting is easily overlooked, even if the quote was good. A short, factual enquiry keeps your company present and uncovers misunderstandings before the contract is awarded.

How we follow up

  1. Notification: You forward the quote and the client’s contact details to us at the latest the day after submission. An email is enough.
  2. Confirmation of receipt: Within two working days we confirm receipt to the client and name a contact person for questions.
  3. First follow-up: 7 to 10 days after the submission deadline by phone. We clarify the status of the award and any open questions.
  4. Second follow-up: before the stated award date, at the latest three weeks after the first follow-up.
  5. Questions: We pass on technical and price-related questions to you the same day.
  6. Result: Win or loss with the reason, for example price, schedule or content. That makes the next quote better.

At most three contacts per quote. Price negotiations, technical information and changes to the quote remain with you.

What stays with you

You decide on prices, terms and technical answers. Bautique handles the communication and makes sure no quote is forgotten.

Frequently asked questions about quote follow-up

Isn’t following up with architects pushy?

Not if it is done factually and at the right interval. An enquiry 7 to 10 days after the submission deadline, offering to clarify questions, is usually seen by site managers as a service. There are never more than three contacts per quote.

When is the right time to follow up?

The first enquiry is worthwhile 7 to 10 days after the submission deadline. The second follows before the stated award date, at the latest three weeks later.

How many quotes does Bautique follow up on?

Depending on the package, up to 3, up to 20 or up to 40 quotes per month. In the initial consultation we clarify which scope suits your company.

What happens after a rejection?

We politely ask for the reason and request that your company stays on the list for future tenders. The feedback flows into your next quote.
